Accessibility at Rockstar Energy presents Creamfields 2024

At Rockstar Energy presents Creamfields we aim to create an event that’s truly accessible for all and this year we are excited to be partnering with Nimbus Disability and The Access Card, one of the largest disability accreditation organisations who are now helping us to build on our existing Accessibility provisions.

Applying for Accessibility

In order to provide the best possible experience, we ask that everyone who wishes to use the Accessibility facilities at Creamfields has a valid Nimbus Access Card or Creamfields Digital Access Pass and complete and submits an Accessibility Requirements from.

Step 1 – Purchase Ticket.

If you haven’t already purchased your ticket to Creamfields 2024, you will need to do this first. There are limited resale tickets available, please click the link below to purchase your ticket:-

Step 2 – Register for a Nimbus Access Card.

Already have a valid Nimbus Access Card? Skip to Step 3.

Assessment and registration of proof of accessibility requirements will be processed by the team at Nimbus Disability. Access to the facilities will then be provided to customers based on the symbols on their Nimbus Access Card or Creamfields Digital Access Pass.

You will need to register for a free Creamfields Digital Access Pass (which can be upgraded to a Nimbus Access Card if you wish). This is issued by the Nimbus team and will be valid for 3 years to use at future Creamfields Festivals in the UK.

Please note that our accessible facilities are unable to cater for people with temporary impairments. This is considered to be anything that affects an individual for less than 12 months such as broken bones, healing injuries or pregnancy.

If you have a temporary impairment, please be aware that there will be a lot of walking at Creamfields.

Step 3 – Complete and submit an Access Requirements Form.

All you need to do now is complete and submit the Creamfields Accessibility requirements form which can be found HERE

Please have your Creamfields Digital Access Pass Card I.D. number on hand, as you will need to input this on your application form.

Access to the accessible facilities will be provided to customers based on the approved requirements listed on their Nimbus Access Card or Nimbus Creamfields Digital Access Pass.

Timeline

Applications for this years event will remain open until further notice. You will be given reasonable notice of any changes to this.

To avoid any delay, please do not send your request more than once.

Once your application has been approved, we will send a confirmation email, detailing the facilities you have requested access to and where applicable, confirming your Essential Companion ticket.

Accessibility Guide

Everyone who successfully applies for Accessibility at Creamfields 2024 will be sent an Accessibility Guide (via email) around 1 week prior to the event, including detailed Accessibility information.

The Accessibility Guide will include:

  • Arrival Information
  • Site Changes and Updates
  • Accessibility Maps (including route distances, charging points, accessible toilets, platform locations and more)
  • Opening Times
  • Accessibility Facilities and more

We recommend saving a copy of the Accessibility Guide for your own reference (once available). No hard copies will be available on-site.

A downloadable copy of the Accessibility Guide will also be available here nearer the event.

*Please note we are unable to confirm specific detailed information prior to this.

Essential Companion Ticket

If your Nimbus Access Card or Creamfields Digital Access Pass indicates the Essential Companion requirement, we will automatically provide you with an Essential Companion ticket free of charge.

Do not purchase a ticket for your Essential Companion as this will not be refunded.

Essential Companion tickets are provided with the understanding that the Essential Companion is willing and able to assist the Accessibility customer throughout their entire stay at the festival. The Essential Companion must be able to perform all requirements as needed by the Accessibility customer and must provide assistance during an evacuation or other emergency.

We will not send any Accessibility wristbands out in advance of the event, details on how to obtain these will be confirmed in the Accessibility Guide.

Event Arena Facilities

Accessible viewing platforms, areas and toilets are provided within the Arena at Creamfields at certain stages. These are controlled by a wristband system, and managed by the Accessibility Arena Manager. To ensure they run smoothly, each location has its own team of stewards and security.

Accessible Viewing Platforms and Areas

All platforms have ramp access, wheelchair accessible toilet and charging point available on the main stage viewing platforms. Most of our viewing areas have either standard or accessible toilets, and the locations and details of these will be provided in the Accessibility Guide. Limited seating is also available at each platform.

As platforms/areas have a limited capacity these are strictly for Accessibility customers, plus one (1) Essential Companion.

We operate our platforms/areas on a first come, first served basis and whilst we try to ensure that we have sufficient space for everyone, demand varies by artist and at times there may be a wait.

Accessible Toilets

Wheelchair accessible and standard toilets are located at all of our viewing platforms and most of our viewing areas.

Accessibility Campsite

If attending Creamfields for the weekend, Accessibility Customers can apply (via our Accessibility Requirements Form) to camp in our Accessibility Campsite containing additional Access facilities. By positioning these facilities in one campsite we can ensure that they are serviced, cleaned and maintained regularly.

The Access Campsite is located as close to the Arena as possible, staffed 24 hours, and is where our Accessibility Team is based.

Campsite facilities include:

  • Wheelchair accessible toilets and showers
  • A Changing Places Unit featuring a changing bed, a toilet, sink and a hoist. Please be aware that Accessibility customers must bring their own sling. (This unit is not for sleeping.)
  • Toilets and showers
  • Drinking water points and accessible sink
  • Waste-disposal point
  • Electrical points for charging wheelchairs or mobility scooters
  • Fridge for secure medication storage
  • Campsite hub and information (where our Accessibility Team are based)

For customers that require an electric power supply to their tent for medical devices this can be requested on application. These requests will only be approved for those that need power overnight at their camping location (eg CPAP machines). You will be asked to provide relevant medical documentation or diagnosis letter for this to be approved.

Group Size

As well as you and your Essential Companion, we also allow up to two friends to camp with you in the Accessibility Campsite (a maximum of 4 people including you). You must register the number of your group during the application process so that they are issued with the appropriate wristbands to access the Accessibility Campsite.

Gold and Other Campsites

If you are an Accessibility customer staying in any of our other campsites including Dreamfields or Pre-Pitch, please notify the Accessibility team in your application. We are still able to provide a Essential Companion ticket at no additional charge that will allow the Essential Companion to remain with you in these campsites, however these Essential Companion tickets will not cover any concessions that come with the upgrades (such as complimentary food).

Also, please be advised that we will not be able to replicate the same facilities as we do in our Accessible campsite, so there may be fewer or no accessible showers or toilets in these campsites. There will be longer distances to walk into the Arena and Campsite village from these campsites.

Assistance Dogs

Please carefully consider bringing your assistance dog along to this particular event as excessive volume and over stimulation may cause distress to the animal.

Please contact us directly to discuss your specific requirements and any reasonable adjustment that we can make. We will review all enquiries on a case by case basis.

Please note therapy dogs and emotional support dogs are not permitted due to the nature of the event.

Travel

We strongly advise planning your journey before leaving for the festival. Specific travel information will be sent out via email to Accessibility customer prior to the event.

If driving, please be wary that road restrictions directing traffic to specific car parks (including our Accessibility Car Park) will be in place during the event. Please ensure you follow the temporary event signage in place and not your sat nav.

For customers arriving via the transport hub by coach or shuttle please be aware that the journey to the festival includes uneven terrain and a bridge with steps.  There will be a pre-bookable shuttle service running from the Transport Hub to the drop off point for Accessibility customers who require this.

For those travelling by public transport, please refer to the Travel Section of this website for more information.

Accessibility Car Park

Creamfields has a dedicated Accessibility Car Park located close to the Accessibility Check-In and Campsite. If you require use of this car park you will need to apply for Accessibility Parking (via the Accessibility Requirements Form). The Accessibility Car Park is not located in the North Car Park.

Please note: Blue Badge Holders must register with the Accessibility Team to receive an Accessibility Parking Pass.

Accessibility parking is free of charge, but only when applied for in advance.

Parking in the accessible car park is limited, so friends and family arriving in separate vehicles will not be able to use this car park. Instead, we recommend they use one of our other car parks by purchasing a Parking Pass.

Drop Off Pass

If you are being Picked up or Dropped off at Creamfields in a Car or Taxi, you can apply for a Drop Off Pass through our Accessibility Requirements Form. This will allow entry into the Accessibility Car Park.

Temporary Impairments

Please note that our Accessibility facilities are unable to cater for people with temporary impairments such as broken bones, recovery from surgery, healing injuries or pregnant women.

If you have a temporary impairment, please be aware that there will be a lot of walking at Creamfields and chairs are not allowed into the festival arena.

Effect Lighting

Smoke machines, strobe lights, lasers, fireworks and other effects may be in use at this event. Anyone affected by these should bear this in mind.

Medication

Refrigerated medication storage is available in Accessible Camping and in the Medical tent in the Arena. Customers who require this must submit an Accessible Facilities Application form.

We recommend bringing a copy of your doctor’s letter or prescription. Please keep all medication in its original

Medical and Welfare

Our primary ‘MEDICAL CENTRE’ located near the entrance to the campsite village next to and near to the Steel Yard is open 24 hours a day across the event weekend with a wide range of fully trained medical staff including Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics, First Responders and Mental Health practitioners. Our team are able to deal with the full range of emergency and urgent care medical problems and offers the same range of services as a conventional Emergency Department, including an on-site X-Ray service.

In addition to the primary MEDICAL and WELFARE points, we have various medical response teams positioned across the festival site as well as foot patrols across the campsite and event arena.

How to get help

If you need Medical or First Aid assistance, and if you can, head to the MEDICAL CENTRE on site or approach a member of our First Aid or Medical teams who will be able assist.  If it’s an emergency reach out to the closest member of staff who will be able to contact our Event Control and get assistance to you; only dial 999 as a last resort as this may not be the best way of getting help to you on the festival site.

We don’t recommend that you try to make your own way off site to hospital, access to medical treatment is available on site, you may delay receiving treatment by trying to access health services elsewhere, if the medical site team do feel you need transfer to Hospital services they will make the appropriate arrangements.

Security and Stewards

Security and Stewards are on hand in the Event Arena and in all Campsites.

They have been briefed to offer information, help and support. If you are unwell or require assistance, please approach a member of the Security and Stewarding Team who are clearly identifiable by their numbered tabards/shirts.

In the instance of a site evacuation please ensure that your Essential Companion is aware that they are your main point of assistance in an emergency evacuation. Security and stewards located near the viewing platform will assist in moving everybody to a place of safety.

Ground Conditions / Weather

Creamfields is an outdoor event taking place at Daresbury, Cheshire, it is a greenfield site, with some gravel and hard standing pathways. The Accessibility Campsite, the event Arena and Campsite Village is situated entirely on grass.

It is important to be aware that during inclement weather some parts of the site may be muddy, water-logged or dusty, and may be difficult to navigate around.

The majority of our Accessibility Viewing Platforms/Areas are uncovered so please dress appropriately, and for all weather conditions.
